Baby's Cozy Mountain Hat

Materials

  • Medium-weight yarn (worsted weight) in mustard
  • Crochet hook size H (5.0 mm)

Instructions

  6. Rnd 4: Ch 2, (dc in the next 3 sts, 2 dc in the next st) repeat around. Join. (30 dc)
  7. Rnd 5: Ch 2, (dc in the next 4 sts, 2 dc in the next st) repeat around. Join. (36 dc)
  8. Rnd 6-10: Ch 2, dc in each st around. Join. (36 dc)

Top of Hat

  1. Rnd 11: Ch 2, (dc in the next 4 sts, dc2tog) repeat around. Join. (30 dc)
  2. Rnd 12: Ch 2, (dc in the next 3 sts, dc2tog) repeat around. Join. (24 dc)
  3. Rnd 13: Ch 2, (dc in the next 2 sts, dc2tog) repeat around. Join. (18 dc)
  4. Rnd 14: Ch 2, (dc in the next st, dc2tog) repeat around. Join. (12 dc)
  5. Rnd 15: Ch 2, (dc2tog) repeat around. Join. (6 dc)

Finishing

  1. Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Use the tapestry needle to weave through the remaining sts and pull tight to close the top of the hat.
  2. Weave in all loose ends.
