Instructions
Making the Cuff
- Using the US size 8 needles, cast on 36 stitches.

Making the Hand

- Knit 1 round.
- *K2, k2tog; repeat from * around (18 stitches total).
- Knit 1 round.
- *K1, k2tog; repeat from * around (12 stitches total).
- Knit 1 round.
- K2tog around (6 stitches total).
Closing the Top
- Cut the yarn leaving a long tail and pull through the remaining stitches to close.
- Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.
Thumb Construction
- Transfer the stitches from the stitch holder back onto the needles.
- Using the US size 8 needles, knit 6 rounds in the round for the thumb.
- Shape the thumb: *k2, k2tog; repeat from * around (4 stitches total).
- Cut the yarn leaving a tail and pull through the remaining stitches to close the thumb.
- Weave in all ends.
