  • dc = double crochet
  • tc = triple crochet
  • sk = skip
  • rep = repeat
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • sp = space

Instructions:

Base (Common for All Sizes):

  1. Join yarn with a slip stitch to make a magic ring.
  2. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc in the ring. Join with a sl st to top of ch-3. (12 dc)
  3. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around. Join. (24 dc)
  4. Round 3: Ch 3, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; rep from * around. Join. (36 dc)
  5. Round 4: Ch 3, *dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st; rep from * around. Join. (48 dc)

Body (Customized for Each Size):

Change stitch pattern for the body:

  • Small (4") :
    Round 1: Ch 3, *tc in next st, sk 1 st; rep from * to end. Join.
  • Medium (5.5") :
    Round 1: Ch 3, *2 dc in next st, sk 1 st; rep from * to end. Join.
  • Large (8") :
    Round 1: Ch 3, *dc in next st, ch 1, sk 1 st; rep from * to end. Join.

Finishing:

  1. Continue with rounds until you achieve your desired height (approximately 6-8 rounds).
  2. Last round: *Ch 1, sk 1 st, dc in next st; rep from * and finish with a sl st.
  3. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
  4. For added security, you can starch the cover or glue it onto the jar.
