Materials

• Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in three colors – Deep Blue, Rich Purple, and Soft Pink

Gauge

16 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

Abbreviations

• CO: Cast On
• BO: Bind Off
• RS: Right Side
• WS: Wrong Side
• k: knit
• p: purl

Instructions

Starting with Deep Blue

1. CO 120 stitches.
2. Row 1 (RS): Knit all stitches.
3. Row 2 (WS): Purl all stitches.
4. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for 10 rows. This creates a band in Deep Blue.

Switch to Soft Pink

5. With Soft Pink, knit 8 rows in stockinette stitch (alternating knit rows on RS and purl rows on WS).

Switch to Rich Purple

6. With Rich Purple, knit 10 rows in stockinette.

Continue Striping Pattern

Follow the pattern below to create stripes:

Finish
