Crochet Charming Interwoven Celtic-Style Bracelet

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn in your choice of colors
  • Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle for weaving ends
  • Scissors

Gauge:

Gauge is not critical for this project, but ensure your stitches are tight enough to hold their shape.

Finished Size:

Approximately 7 inches in length, adjustable to fit your wrist size.

Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • dc = double crochet
  • sl st = slip stitch

Instructions:

Foundation:

Ch 20.

Row 1:

Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (19 sc)

Row 2:

Ch 1, turn. Sc in the first sc, *ch 1, skip the next sc, sc in the next sc*; repeat from * to * across. (10 sc, 9 ch-1 sps)

Row 3:

Ch 3 (counts as first dc), turn. In the first ch-1 sp, dc, ch 1; repeat in each ch-1 sp across. Finish with a dc in the last sc. (10 dc, 9 ch-1 sps)

Row 4:

Ch 1, turn. Sc in the first dc, *ch 1, skip the next ch-1 sp, sc in the next dc*; repeat from * to * across. (10 sc, 9 ch-1 sps)

Repeating Rows:

Repeat Rows 2-4 until bracelet reaches your desired length, approximately 7 inches.

Finishing:

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Fold the piece in half, aligning the edges to form a circular shape. Using your tapestry needle, sew the two short ends together securely.

Optional: Add a Button Closure

Attach a button on one end and make a matching loop on the other end with ch stitches for a closure mechanism.

Weaving in Ends:

Weave in all loose ends with a tapestry needle for a polished finish.
