Pattern Instructions:
Foundation Row:
Ch 5, join with a slip stitch to form a ring.
Row 1:
Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), *dc in ring, ch 1* repeat 3 times, dc in ring. Turn. (5 dc, 4 ch-1 spaces)
Row 2:
Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in first dc, *ch 1, dc in next dc* across, 2 dc in top of turning ch. Turn. (6 dc, 4 ch-1 spaces)
Row 3:
Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), dc in next dc, *ch 1, dc in next dc* across, ch 1, dc in last dc. Turn. (7 dc, 5 ch-1 spaces)
Row 4:
Ch 3, dc in same st, *ch 2, skip next ch-1 space, dc in next dc*, repeat across, 2 dc in top of turning ch. Turn. (8 dc, 4 ch-2 spaces)
Repeat Rows 3 and 4 until shawl measures desired length.
Edging:
With right side facing, join yarn to any corner, ch 1, sc evenly around entire shawl, working 3 sc in each corner. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Finishing:
Block shawl by soaking it in lukewarm water and shaping it to dimensions. Let it dry completely.
