Crochet Elegant Striped Hook Holder Free Pattern
Materials:
- Worsted weight cotton yarn in three colors (A, B, C)
- H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- 1 large button (optional)
Gauge:
12 stitches and 14 rows = 4 inches in single crochet. Gauge is not crucial but will affect the size of your holder.
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- hdc = half double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st = stitch
Instructions:
Base:
1. With color A, ch 36. 2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (35 sc). 3. Row 2-10: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across (35 sc). 4. Change to color B, ch 1, turn, sc in each st across for 10 rows. 5. Change to color C, ch 1, turn, sc in each st across for 10 rows.Textured Stitch Section:
6. Turn to the short side of the base. Ch 1, sc along the edge, placing 1 sc in each row (30 sc). 7. Change to color B, work (hdc in the first st, sc in the next) across. 8. Repeat until you have a total of 7 textured rows.Creating Pockets:
9. For pockets, crochet rows as follows: - Pocket 1: Ch 10, sc in each st across for 5 rows. - Pocket 2 (in new section): Repeat for 6 more pockets, spacing them evenly. 10. Attach pockets with slip stitches along the top edge to secure.Finishing:
11. Fold the holder in half to create the flap. Optional: Attach a button and make a loop with color A on the opposite side. 12. Weave in all ends using the tapestry needle.Care Instructions:
