Crochet Textured Stripe Colorful Scarf Free Pattern

Materials Needed

  • Worsted weight yarn in four colors (light purple, teal, cream, and sage green)
  • Crochet hook size H (5.0 mm)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

Stitches Used

  • Chain (ch)
  • Single Crochet (sc)
  • Double Crochet (dc)
  • Cluster Stitch: *yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull through stitch, yarn over, pull through 2 loops* repeat 3 times in same stitch, yarn over, pull through all 4 loops on hook.

Instructions

Color Pattern

The color pattern follows the sequence: 2 rows of light purple, 2 rows of teal, 2 rows of cream, 2 rows of sage green. Repeat until scarf reaches desired length.

Scarf

  1. Using light purple, ch 224 (or desired length).
  2. Row 1: dc in 4th chain from hook and in each chain across. Turn.
  3. Row 2: ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), cluster stitch in next st, *dc in next st, cluster stitch in next st* repeat across. Turn.
  4. Repeat Row 2 for another row.
  5. Change to teal and repeat Row 2 for 2 rows.
  6. Change to cream and repeat Row 2 for 2 rows.
  7. Change to sage green and repeat Row 2 for 2 rows.
  8. Continue to alternate colors every 2 rows until desired length.
  9. Finish off and weave in ends.

Fringe

  1. Cut strands of each color yarn into 12-inch lengths.
  2. Hold together 2 strands of different colors, fold in half, and use hook to pull loop through the end stitch.
  3. Pull ends through loop and tighten. Repeat across both ends of the scarf, alternating colors.
