Materials

• Yarn: Worsted weight in green, red, white, yellow, brown, and skin tone
• Knitting needles: Size US 8 (5mm) and US 6 (4mm) for ribbing

Pattern Instructions

Back

1. CO 90 sts using US 6 needles with red yarn for the ribbing.
2. K2, P2 rib for 2 inches.
3. Change to US 8 needles and green yarn. Work in stockinette stitch for 10 inches.
4. Begin colorwork following the chart pattern for Christmas trees and snowflakes. Continue until piece measures 24 inches from CO edge.
5. Shape shoulders: BO 8 sts at the beginning of the next 4 rows. BO remaining sts.

Front

1. CO 90 sts with US 6 needles and red yarn.
2. K2, P2 rib for 2 inches.
3. Switch to US 8 needles and green yarn. Work even for 8 inches.
4. Start the Santa motif following the color chart, continue the pattern until the piece measures 22 inches from CO edge.
5. Neck shaping: At the center 20 sts, BO for neck, working each side separately. Dec 1 st at neck edge every row 3 times.
6. Continue until piece matches the back. BO.

Sleeves

1. CO 44 sts with US 6 needles and red yarn.
2. K2, P2 rib for 2 inches.
3. Switch to US 8 needles and green yarn. Inc 1 st each end of needles every 6th row until there are 70 sts.
4. Work even until sleeve measures 18 inches, incorporating snowflake and tree patterns along the length.
5. BO loosely.

Assembly

• Sew shoulder seams.
• Pick up and knit around neck edge with red yarn, using US 6 needles. K2, P2 rib for 1 inch. BO loosely.
• Set in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams.

Weave in all ends and block lightly.
