Instructions

  3. Body of Hat: Switch to stockinette stitch (K every row) and knit until the work measures 6 inches from the cast on edge.
  4. Hearts Pattern: Begin the hearts pattern:
    • Row 1: *K5, K2tog, K2, YO, K2, SSK, K5*
    • Row 2: Knit all stitches
    • Repeat Rows 1 and 2 two more times, then knit all stitches in white yarn for 4 rows to separate the hearts.

    • Row 1: *K8, K2tog* repeat until end of row.
    • Row 2: Knit all stitches.
    • Row 3: *K7, K2tog* repeat until end of row.

  6. Finish the Hat: Cut the yarn leaving a long tail, thread the tail through the remaining 10 stitches, pull tight to close the top of the hat. Weave in all ends.
  7. Pom-pom: Create a pom-pom using white yarn and attach it securely to the top of the hat.
