Abbreviations
- CO: Cast On
- k: Knit
- p: Purl
- BO: Bind Off
Instructions
- CO 180 stitches using the long-tail cast on method.
- Row 1 (RS): *k2, p2*; repeat from * to * across the row.
- Row 2 (WS): *k2, p2*; repeat from * to * across the row.
- Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the piece measures approximately 59 inches from the cast on edge, ending with a RS row.
- This creates the consistent ribbed texture seen in the blanket.
- BO all stitches loosely in pattern.
- Weave in all ends using the tapestry needle.
Finishing
Block lightly to dimensions, if necessary, avoiding too much pressure on the yarn to maintain its fluffy texture.
