Crochet Adorable Bear Ear Baby Hat Free Pattern

Materials:

• Yarn: #3 / Light Worsted / DK / 8 ply in pink and cream
• Crochet Hook: 4.0 mm (G-6)
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• blo = back loop only
• rnd(s) = round(s)

Instructions:

Hat Body:

1. With cream yarn, ch 9.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (8 sc)
3. Row 2-30: Ch 1, turn, sc blo in each st across. (8 sc) Fasten off leaving a long tail.
4. Sew the ends of the ribbed band together to form a ring.
5. Join pink yarn to edge of ribbing.
6. Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc evenly around the edge of ribbing. Join with sl st. (60 sc)
7. Rnd 2-10: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join with sl st. (60 sc)
8. Continue until desired height, fasten off and weave in ends.

Bear Ears (Make 2):

1. With pink yarn, make a magic ring.
2. Rnd 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring. Join with sl st. (6 sc)
3. Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around. Join with sl st. (12 sc)
4. Rnd 3: Ch 1, (2 sc in next st, sc in next st) around. Join with sl st. (18 sc)
5. Rnd 4: Ch 1, (2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts) around. Join with sl st. (24 sc)
6. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:

1. Flatten each ear and sew them onto the hat, positioning them as desired.
2. Weave in all ends.
