Instructions

Ribbed Band

1. Ch 8.

4. Repeat Row 2 until the band measures around 13 inches or desired head circumference.
5. Join ends with a sl st to form a ring. Do not fasten off.

Main Body

1. Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc evenly around the edge of the band. Join with sl st. (ensure the number of sts is a multiple of 4)
2. Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), puff st in same st, *skip 1 st, puff st in next st*. Repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch 2.
3. Repeat Rnd 2 until the hat measures approximately 6 inches from the band or desired height.
4. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Pom Pom

1. Using a pompom maker, create a pom pom. If you don’t have one, wrap yarn around your fingers or a piece of cardboard until it is thick enough, then tie tightly in the middle. Trim the ends.
