Crochet Elegant Lace Doily Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Cotton Thread No.5 (in Off White)
- 3mm Steel Crochet Hook
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- sp = space
- rep = repeat
Instructions:
Round 1:
Make a magic ring. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 15 dc into ring, join with sl st to top of ch-3. (16 dc)
Round 2:
Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc around, join with sl st to top of ch-3. (32 dc)
Round 3:
Ch 3, *dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in next dc; rep from * around, join with sl st to top of ch-3. (32 dc, 16 ch-1 sps)
Round 4:
Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), *dc in next dc, ch 1; rep from * around, join with sl st to 3rd ch of ch-4. (32 dc, 32 ch-1 sps)
Round 5:
Ch 5 (counts as dc, ch 2), *dc in next dc, ch 2; rep from * around, join with sl st to 3rd ch of ch-5. (32 dc, 32 ch-2 sps)
Round 6:
Sl st into next ch-2 sp, ch 3, (dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in same sp, *skip next dc, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next ch-2 sp; rep from * around, join with sl st to top of ch-3. (64 dc, 32 ch-1 sps)
Round 7-12:
Continue working in established pattern, increasing as necessary to maintain shape and achieve desired size.
Round 13 (Edge):
Ch 1, sc in each dc and ch-1 sp around, adjusting for smooth edges.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
