Materials
- Yarn: Medium weight yarn in three colors - navy blue, sky blue, and white.
- Crochet Hook: 4.5 mm (US 7) hook
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge
14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in double crochet (dc)
Finished Size
Approximately 34 inches by 40 inches
Instructions
Stripe Pattern
- 2 rows navy blue
- 2 rows white
- 2 rows sky blue
- Repeat the above pattern for the entire blanket, end with navy blue.
Pattern
- Foundation Row: With navy blue, chain 100.
- Row 1: Dc in 4th chain from hook and in each chain across. Turn. (97 dc)
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in each stitch across. Turn.
- Repeat Row 2 for 2 more rows.
- Switch to white yarn. Repeat Row 2 for 2 rows.
- Switch to sky blue yarn. Repeat Row 2 for 2 rows.
- Continue to repeat stripe pattern until desired length is reached, ensuring to end with 2 rows of navy blue.
Finishing
- Fasten off and weave in all ends using the tapestry needle.
- Block the blanket to shape using T-pins if necessary to achieve straight edges.
