Materials
- Bulky weight yarn in gradient colors (or multiple yarn colors): Approx. 800 yards
- Crochet hook size J/10 (6mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge
12 stitches and 6 rows = 4 inches using the lace pattern.
Finished Size
Approximately 8 inches wide and 90 inches long.
Pattern Instructions
Notes:
- Chain3 at the beginning of each row counts as a double crochet.
- The scarf is worked in a repeating open-work lace pattern. Adjust the number of rows for desired length.
Instructions:
- Chain 24.
- Row 1: Dc in the 4th chain from the hook, *sk 1 ch, dc in next, ch 1, dc in same st; repeat from * across, ending with a dc in the last ch, turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next dc, *ch 1, dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next dc; repeat from * across, ending with a dc in the top of turning ch, turn.
- Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures approximately 90 inches or the desired length.
- Finish off and weave in ends using a tapestry needle.
Finishing
Block as necessary to open up the lace pattern. Enjoy your new gradient lacy scarf!
