Pattern Instructions:

Center of the Star:

1. Start with a magic circle, ch 3 (counts as first dc), and work 9 dc into the ring. Join with sl st to the top of the beginning ch-3. (10 dc)

Star Points:

2. Ch 3, dc in next st, ch 2, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st, ch 2; rep from * around. Join with sl st to the top of the beginning ch-3. (5 ch-2 spaces)
3. Sl st in next dc and into ch-2 space, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc, ch 2, 2 dc in same ch-2 space. *Skip next 2 sts, in next ch-2 space work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc); rep from * around. Join with sl st to the top of the beginning ch-3.
4. Sl st into next dc and into ch-2 space, ch 1, sc in same space, *sc in each st to corner ch-2 space, (sc, ch 2, sc) in ch-2 space; rep from * around. Join with sl st in first sc.
5. For the loop, ch 15, sl st in same st to form a loop. Fasten off and weave in ends.
