- Scissors

- sl st = slip stitch
Pattern
This pattern is worked using the corner-to-corner (C2C) technique. Begin at the bottom-left corner of the graph and work diagonally to the top-right corner.
Graph Instructions
- Start with a slip knot and make a chain of 6.
- Work 1 dc into the fourth chain from the hook and each of the next two chains (3 dc).
- Continue to build tiles as follows: ch 6, 1 dc in the fourth chain from the hook and each of the next two chains, sl st to the tile from the previous row.
- Follow the graph color changes:
- Beige for background
- Red for mug and handle
- Dark brown for cocoa
- White for marshmallows and candy cane stripes
- Light brown for mug top border
- Work the snowflake pattern on the front of the mug using white yarn following the graph. This is achieved by changing colors as needed.
Finishing
- Once the graph is complete, add a border: work sc evenly around the entire square in dark brown, placing 3 sc in each corner.
- Fasten off and weave in all ends.
- Block the project to maintain shape if desired.
