Crochet Rustic Ribbed Pumpkin Decor Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in orange, cream, and green
• 5.0 mm (H/8) crochet hook
• Polyfill stuffing
• Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• hdc - half double crochet
• blo - back loop only

Pumpkin Body:

1. Ch 21 (for small), 31 (for medium), 41 (for large).
2. Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (20, 30, 40 hdc)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, hdc in blo of each st across, turn.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the rectangle measures approximately 10" (small), 15" (medium), 20" (large).

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Use the tail to sew the short ends together. Gather the bottom edge tightly and secure, then stuff with polyfill and gather the top edge.

Stem:

1. Using brown yarn, ch 8.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (7 sc)
3. Row 2-4: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Roll into a tube and sew closed.

Leaves:

1. Using green yarn, ch 8.
2. Row 1: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next, hdc in next, dc in next 2 st, hdc in next, sc in last. Ch 1, turn.
3. Row 2: Sl st across to end. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Assembly:

Sew the stem onto the top of the pumpkin. Attach the leaves around the base of the stem. Optionally, use a contrasting yarn to sew vertical lines between the ridges for added detail.
