Crochet Pastel Spiral Lace Doily Free Pattern

Materials:
- Yarn: Light worsted weight in pastel purple, pink, and green
- Crochet Hook: Size G/4mm
- Tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st(s) = stitch(es)
Instructions:
Center Spiral:
- With purple yarn, ch 4, sl st to form a ring.
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc in ring, sl st to top of ch-3. (12 sts)
- Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch-3. (24 sts)
Spiral Shell Pattern:
- Round 3: Change to pink yarn, ch 3, 2 dc in same st, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st* repeat around, sl st to top of ch-3. (36 sts)
- Round 4: Change to green yarn, ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each of next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st* repeat around, sl st to top of ch-3. (48 sts)
- Continue in this pattern, increasing the number of dc's between inc sts by 1 each round, and alternating the yarn colors for each round, until you reach the desired size.
Lace Edge:
- With purple yarn, ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 5, skip 2 sts, sc in next st* repeat around, sl st to first sc.
- Final Round: *In each ch-5 loop, work (sc, dc, ch 3, dc, sc)* repeat around, fasten off and weave in ends.
Finishing:
Block your doily to shape, allowing it to dry naturally to set the lace edging.
