Crochet Plush Textured Slip-On Booties Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Bulky weight yarn (approx. 200-250 yards)
  • Size J (6.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch markers

Size:

  • Adult small (fits US sizes 5-7)
  • Adult medium (fits US sizes 8-10)
  • Adult large (fits US sizes 11-13)

Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • dc = double crochet
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • bobble = (dc, ch 1, dc) in the same stitch, drop the last loop and pull through all loops on hook

Instructions:

Bootie Base:

1. Start by making a slip knot and chaining 10. 2. Row 1: Sc in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. (9 sc) 3. Row 2-6: Ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch across. (9 sc) 4. Row 7: Ch 1, turn. Bobble in the first stitch, sc in next 7 stitches, bobble in last stitch. (9 stitches total) 5. Row 8: Ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch across. (9 sc) 6. Repeat Rows 7 and 8 for 6 more rows until desired height is reached.

Side and Top:

1. Ch 1, turn. Sc in the first 4 stitches, ch 1 and skip the next stitch, sc in the next 4 stitches. 2. Continue sc around the edge, creating a neat finish. Slip stitch to the first sc to join. 3. Ch 1, then add 1 sc in each st around. 4. For the next round, create 2 bobbles to form the top arch, with sc in between any gap.

Finishing:

1. Fasten off and weave in all ends with a yarn needle. 2. Repeat for the second bootie.

Optional:

Add a sole using felt or additional layers of yarn for extra comfort and durability.
