Materials Needed:

• Yarn: Soft, chunky baby yarn (200-300g)

Gauge:

4 stitches = 4 inches in single crochet

Dimensions:

Finished sleeping bag size: 22" tall x 14" wide (at the widest point)

Instructions:

Body

1. Chain 62 (or desired width for the baby).
2. Row 1: In the second chain from the hook, sc. Sc in each chain across. (61 sc)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures 22 inches from the beginning chain.
5. Fold the piece in half lengthwise and join together the last row, leaving the top 8 inches for the head opening.

Hood

1. For the hood, chain 42.
2. Row 1: In the second chain from the hook, sc. Sc in each chain across. (41 sc)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the hood measures 10 inches.
5. Fold the hood in half and sc the sides together.

Assembly

1. Attach the hood to the top of the sleeping bag using sl st to secure.
2. Weave in all the ends.
3. Optional: Add buttons or embellishments for decoration.
