Basket Pattern:

Base:

1. In a magic ring, ch 2, and work 10 dc into the ring. Pull tight to close.
2. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in the same stitch, 2 dc in each stitch around. Join with sl st (20 dc).
3. Round 2: Ch 2, *dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join (30 dc).
4. Round 3: Ch 2, *dc in next 2 stitches, 2 dc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join (40 dc).
5. Continue increasing until your base measures about 10 inches in diameter.

Body:

1. Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around. Join (total stitch count remains the same).
2. Round 2: Ch 1, *sc in next stitch, dc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join.
3. Round 3-10: Repeat Round 1 and Round 2 alternately until the basket is 10 inches tall or desired height.
