Crochet Textured Earthy Hexagonal Table Runner Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in three colors (A, B, C) - approximately 150 yards of each.
- Hook: 5.5mm (I-9)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
- Single Crochet (sc)
- Puff Stitch (puff)
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Pattern Instructions:
Hexagon Base:
- With Color A, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc in the ring. Join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (12 dc)
- Round 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in same st, *2 hdc in next st; repeat from * around. Join with sl st in the top of the ch 2. (24 hdc)
- Round 3: Change to Color B. Ch 3, *puff in next st, ch 1; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (12 puff + 12 ch spaces)
- Round 4: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in same st, *2 hdc in ch space, hdc in next puff; repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (36 hdc)
- Round 5: Change to Color C. Ch 2, *puff in next st, ch 1; repeat from * around. Join as before. (18 puff + 18 ch spaces)
- Round 6: Ch 2, *hdc in each puff and in ch space for the entire round. (54 hdc)
- Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing or finishing edges.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends using the tapestry needle. Optionally, add a fringe or border around the edges for added flair. This enhances the texture and gives a polished look to your table runner.
Tips:
- Feel free to play with colors and create a gradient effect for a unique look.
- This pattern can be adjusted in size by adding or subtracting rounds as needed.
