Daisy Motif Crochet Tablecloth Pattern

Materials:

• Crochet Hook: Size 1.75 mm (US size 6)
• Crochet Thread: Light fingering weight in Blue, Pink, Yellow, and Brown
• Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors

Gauge:

One motif measures approximately 6 inches in diameter.

Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• tr - treble crochet
• pc - popcorn stitch: 5 dc in same stitch, drop loop from hook, insert hook front to back in top of first dc of 5-dc group, pull dropped loop through

Instructions:

Center Flower

1. With Yellow, make a magic ring. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 15 dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. (16 dc)
2. Change to Blue or Pink. Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 8, skip next st, sc in next st*; repeat around. Join with sl st to first sc. (8 loops)
3. *Ch 3, pc in next sc, ch 3, sl st in next sc*, repeat around. Fasten off.

Lace Framework

1. Attach Brown to any chain loop. Ch 1, sc in same loop, ch 5, sc in next loop*; repeat around. Join with sl st to first sc. (8 loops)
2. Ch 6 (counts as dc, ch 3), *dc in next sc, ch 3*; repeat around. Join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 6.
3. Ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-loop, ch 4*; repeat around. Join with sl st to top of starting ch 2.

Joining Motifs

Continue creating motifs as needed, joining them on the last round. Use the chain spaces to connect motifs, by slip stitching into corresponding chain spaces on adjacent motifs.

Finishing

1. Weave in all ends using the tapestry needle.
2. Block the tablecloth to shape, ensuring the motifs and lace lie flat.
