Knitting Adorable Pom Pom Egg Warmers Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• DK weight yarn in multiple colors (yellow, pink, white, pastel green, pastel blue, and lavender)
• Set of double-pointed needles (3.25 mm or US 3)
• Yarn needle
• Scissors
• Pompom maker or cardboard template

Abbreviations:

• CO - Cast On
• k - Knit
• k2tog - Knit two stitches together
• st(s) - Stitch(es)
• rnd - Round

Instructions:

Egg Warmer:

1. CO 36 sts and divide evenly onto three needles (12 sts each).
2. Join to work in rnds, being careful not to twist. Place marker for beginning of round.
3. Rnds 1-6: k all sts (this will be the brim).
4. Continue Knitting: Rnds 7-20, k all sts to form the body of the warmer.
5. Decrease Rnd 21: *k4, k2tog; repeat from * around (30 sts).
6. Decrease Rnd 22: *k3, k2tog; repeat from * around (24 sts).
7. Decrease Rnd 23: *k2, k2tog; repeat from * around (18 sts).
8. Decrease Rnd 24: *k1, k2tog; repeat from * around (12 sts).
9. Decrease Rnd 25: *k2tog; repeat from * around (6 sts).
10. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread yarn through remaining sts, pull tight and fasten off securely.

Pompom:

1. Using matching yarn color, make a small pompom using a pompom maker or cardboard template.
2. Attach the pompom securely to the top of the warmer.

Finishing:

1. Weave in all loose ends with a yarn needle.
2. Repeat in desired colors for a cheerful set.
