Crochet Elegant Textured Bow Headband Pattern

Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in cream
• Crochet hook size H/5 mm
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• dc: double crochet
• puff stitch: yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through (3 loops on hook), repeat the previous step two more times (7 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through all loops on hook

Instructions

Headband

1. Start with a foundation chain of 70 (or as many as needed to fit around head size, must be an even number).
2. Row 1: dc in the 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.
3. Row 2: ch 1, sc in the first dc, *puff stitch in the next stitch, sc in the next, repeat from * across, turn.
4. Row 3: ch 2 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in each stitch across, turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2-3 until the piece measures about 4 inches in width or desired width.
6. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
7. Sew the short ends together to form a loop.

Bow

1. Ch 12.
2. Row 1: dc in the 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn (10 dc).
3. Row 2-5: ch 2, dc in each stitch across, turn.
4. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
5. Wrap around the headband at the seam and sew the edges together at the back.

Weave in all ends using the yarn needle. Enjoy your new elegant headband!
