Materials
- Worsted weight yarn in pink, purple, blue, light green, dark green
- Crochet hook size H (5.0 mm)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Wire wreath form
Abbreviations
- ch: chain
- sl st: slip stitch
- sc: single crochet
- hdc: half double crochet
- dc: double crochet
- tr: treble crochet
Pattern
Hydrangea Flower
- With chosen color for flower, ch 4, sl st to first ch to form a ring.
- Round 1: Ch 1, 8 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc.
- Round 2: Ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same st, *skip next st, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next st; repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of beg ch 3.
- Round 3: Sl st in next dc, sl st in first ch-2 sp, ch 3, (3 tr, ch 2, 4 tr) in same ch-2 sp, *(4 tr, ch 2, 4 tr) in next ch-2 sp; repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of beg ch 3.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Leaves
- With dark green, ch 10.
- Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next, dc in next 5 ch, hdc in next, sc in next, ch 1, turn.
- Row 2: Sl st in first sc, ch 2, hdc in next hdc, dc in next 5 dc, hdc in next hdc, sl st in last sc.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Small Buds
- With light green, ch 2.
- Round 1: 6 sc in second ch from hook.
- Round 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)
- Round 3: Sc in each st around. Fasten off, leave tail for sewing.
Assembly
- Arrange flowers, leaves, and buds on wreath form as desired.
- Sew each piece securely to the wreath, ensuring even distribution.
